Safety advices 1.2 Use

Safety advices 1.2 Use of the R32 refrigerant i a a a a a FLAMMABLE MATERIAL The R32 refrigerant is odourless. This system contains fluorinated refrigerant. For specific information on the type and quantity of refrigerant, refer to the data plate. Always observe the national regulations on the use of refrigerant. Interventions on the refrigeration circuit must only be carried out by operators possessing a valid certification, issued by an accredited body, certifying their expertise in manipulating refrigerants safely and in accordance with the specifications in force in the sector. No person carrying out work in relation to a refrigerating system which involves exposing any pipe work shall use any sources of ignition in such a manner that it may lead to the risk of fire or explosion. All possible ignition sources, including cigarette smoking, should be kept sufficiently far away from the site of installation, repairing, removing and disposal, during which refrigerant can possibly be released to the surrounding space. Prior to work taking place, the area around the equipment is to be surveyed to make sure that there are no flammable hazards or ignition risks. “No Smoking” signs shall be displayed. 1.3 Symbols affixed to the appliance The appliance has the following symbols affixed to it: 7 8 9 10 11 Fig. 1 Reference Description 7 Danger moving parts 8 Danger flammable refrigerant 9 Normative symbols for R32 gas 10 Serial number 000000000000 11 Electrical precautions 6 / EN

Description of the system 2. Description of the system Composition of the system The ARISTON hybrid system is made up of: – An auxiliary heat generator (not supplied) – NIMBUS HYBRID MODULE UNIVERSAL NET R32 – An outdoor unit (air-to-water heat pump) – User interface – An outdoor temperature sensor – Connectivity package For further information on the accessories available, please see the Product Catalogue. Operating principle The hybrid system is designed for heating and domestic hot water production, and consists of two generators: – an outdoor air-to-water monobloc heat pump (HP) with inverter technology – an auxiliary heat generator that can be generic or an ARISTON condensing boiler equipped with BUS connection The two generators work in synergy through an additional module (HYBRID MODULE) that integrates the two generators hydraulically with the heating system and with the domestic hot water production system. The HYBRID MODULE includes the electronics for managing the (Hybrid Manager) system, which helps to optimise its operation. The HYBRID MODULE guarantees: – excellent comfort – high performance – ease of installation – reduced running costs – reliability – low investment costs The two generators can work together or separately depending on the operating mode: – minimal primary energy consumption (default) – minimal running costs The Hybrid Manager electronic circuit board constantly checks the outdoor temperature, the room temperature and the system’s delivery temperature; using these values, it calculates the performance of the boiler and the coefficient of performance of the heat pump and decides which is the most suitable generator for heating the room based on the parameters defined in advance. The hybrid system also allows to define the operating limits of the boiler and of the heat pump. – Minimum outdoor temperature for heat pump operation: it is the temperature below which the Hybrid Manager does not authorise heat pump operation. – Maximum outdoor temperature for boiler operation: it is the temperature above which the Hybrid Manager does not authorise boiler operation. Within this temperature range, the Hybrid Manager decides which is the most appropriate generator. Cooling function The hybrid system can also cool rooms during summer, since it is equipped with a reversible heat pump. The function can be implemented through the use of appropriate hydraulic kits, which allow for creating the intended system layouts. 7 / EN
