Electrical connections The cross-sectional size of the cables used must comply with the system power (see data plate). For units equipped with an inverter (outdoor unit), we recommend using type B residual-current devices for 3 ph power supplies and type B or F devices (depending on the electrical system to which they are connected) for 1 ph power supplies. For units lacking an inverter (indoor unit), a type A residual-current device will suffice. The type of connection must nonetheless be made in a workmanlike manner by qualified personnel in order to comply with the national regulations in force. Main power supply table. Electrical connections 5.1 Outdoor unit electrical connections In accordance with the installation instructions, all systems for disconnecting the main power supply must have an open contact (4 mm) that guarantees full disconnection as per the indications of the Class III overvoltage conditions. a a a Make the earth connection before proceeding with all the other electrical connections. The indoor and outdoor units must be powered separately.
