commissioning First ignition 1. Make sure that: - The gas valve is closed; - The electrical connection has been properly carried out. Make sure that, in any case, the green/yellow earthing wire is connected to an efficient earthing system; - Use a screwdriver to lift the cap on the automatic air relief valve; 2. Switch on the boiler (by pressing the ON/OFF button) and use the MODE button to select the standby mode, where no hot water or heating requests are made. Deaeration cycle During the filling stage or if there is excess air in the system, the deaeration cycle can be activated by holding the ESC button for 5 seconds. The boiler will start a cycle which lasts approximately 7 minutes. When this is complete the menu screen will be restored. The cycle may either be repeated, if necessary, or stopped by pressing ESC. Press the ESC button until the normal display screen is restored. 01/01/2000 00:00 40°C 70°C 3. Start the deaeration cycle by pressing ESC for 5 seconds The boiler will start a deaeration cycle lasting about 7 minutes. If you need to stop it press ESC. At the end, check that the system is completely deaerated and, if not, repeat the procedure. Airpurge attiva 4. Bleed the air from the radiators. 5. Check the pressure gauge reading to verify that there is sufficient plant pressure (1-1.5 mbar); if not, the display will signal the need for re-establishing the pressure. Re-establish the pressure by opening the water inlet valve located underneath the boiler. 6. The exhaust duct for combustion products should be suitable and free from any obstructions; 7. Any necessary ventilation inlets in the room should be open (type B installation). 8. Check whether the siphon contains water; if not, it must be refilled. N.B.: if the boiler will not be used for long periods, the siphon should be filled before the boiler is started up again. It is dangerous not to refill the siphon as fumes may be released into the environment. 9. Open the gas valve and check the connection seals, including the boiler connection seals, making sure that the meter does not detect any passage of gas. Eliminate any leaks. 10. Start the boiler by selecting the heating or domestic hot water operation using the MODE button. 24

commissioning Cleaning function and combustion analysis The boiler has two pressure taps to measure the combustion gas temperature, the combustive air and the concentrations of O2 and CO2 on the outside of the flue gas header. Said taps can be accessed by unscrewing the two plugs. If the recorded values do not comply with those indicated in the table, adjust accordingly as indicated below. - Adjust the gas valve pressure regulator using a suitable slotted screwdriver: turn clockwise to decrease the recorded CO2 value and anti-clockwise to increase the value (the screws require slight turning as they are very sensitive); - Wait a few seconds until the CO2 stabilises then check the value and repeat the procedure, if necessary. Once the calibration procedure is completed, analyse the CO2 values at minimum power. GENUS PREMIUM EVO HP 45/65/85/100 Checking the gas setting To carry out analyses of combustion, the cleaning function must be activated. Maximum gas flow combustion analysis Activate the cleaning function at the maximum heating power or the maximum domestic hot water power with a corresponding heating request. Select the Chimney function by pressing the RESET button for 10 seconds. WARNING! When the cleaning function is activated, the temperature of the water coming out of the boiler may be more than 65°C. GENUS PREMIUM EVO HP 115/150 1 The display will visualise the Chimney Function active at the maximum heating pressure. Chimney active Max Power DHW Max power CH Min Power 1 Turn the encoder to select the maximum D.H.W. power. Chimney active Max power DHW Max power CH Min Wait for the boiler to stabilise before carrying out the combustion analyses. Check the CO2 value according to the table below. 1 MAX MIN CO2 CO2 (%) G20 9,0 ± 0,2 8,4 ± 0,2 G31 9,8± 0,2 9,2 ± 0,2 Requirement: always a minimum difference of 0,6% CO 2 between MAX and MIN Important: do not remove silencer (if present) N.B.: when the casing is open, the CO2 value drops by 0,3%. 25
