Renewables paving the

Renewables paving the road to Net Zero The UK government has a Ten Point Plan to protect future generations from climate change by laying the foundations for a Green Industrial Revolution to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Ariston, and we fully support and participate in the drive towards renewable energy. GREENER BUILDINGS Making buildings more energy efficient and moving away from traditional heating technology is a key strategy of the Ten Point Plan. The aim is to make people’s homes warm and comfortable, whilst keeping bills low. Part of this plan includes an aim to have 600,000 heat pumps installed every year by 2028, with incentives to feed the growth of renewable energy. As Ariston is a global leader in renewable energy, it is incredibly well-placed to offer the latest in heat pump technology for homes both on and off the gas grid. In addition, Ariston is committed to driving up the energy efficiencies of our existing heating technology, ensuring all of our customers benefit from the highest level of comfort while protecting the environment. 7 1 Advancing offshore wind power 3 Delivering new and advanced nuclear power 6 8 9 2 4 DRIVING THE GROWTH OF LOW CARBON HYDROGEN Hydrogen is the lightest, simplest and most abundant chemical element in the universe. It could provide a clean source of fuel and heat for homes, replacing natural gas boilers. Ariston is committed to developing its boiler range for it to become hydrogen ready. However, there is no single solution and instead homes will require a mix of technologies to successfully manage the energy transition, with alternative heating solutions playing a pivotal role. 5 Accelerating the shift to zero emission vehicles 10 £ Jet zero & green ships Investing in carbon capture, usage and storage GREEN INCENTIVES Schemes such as the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) are available in the UK to financially incentivise homeowners who choose to heat their homes using renewable technology. A common requirement of such schemes is to have any heat pump technology installed by a Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) approved engineer, which guarantees the quality of the installation and provides eligibility for funding. Protecting our natural environment Green public transport, cycling and walking Green finance & innovation As incentives are regularly updated, Ariston works closely with government bodies to ensure our comfort solutions are always compatible with the latest requirements. | 6 | 7
